Suspecting infidelity, woman castrates husband

Kapurthala, Punjab: Suspecting her husband of infidetilty, a woman cut his private part to teach him a lesson at a village here on Tuesday night. Bholath DSP Mohinder Singh said the woman Baby, a nurse, had lodged a complaint with the police last evening against her husband Jaspal, a three-wheeler driver, accusing him of having illicit relations, but later withdrew it saying that she would teach the husband a lesson. Police said the woman allegedly mixed some intoxicant with liquor at night and served it to her husband. She later cut his private organ using a knife and went to the police station and narrated the incident, said the police officer. Police arrested her and admitted the victim in the local civil hospital. The doctors referred Jaspal to a hospital in Jalandhar where his condition was stated to be serious. Police registered a case of attempt to murder against Baby based on the complaint of Jaspal's father Piara Lal, who is the sarpanch of the village.
