Il 54-enne Michael Deel e la moglie Michelle (49) di Roanoke (Virginia) stavano frequentando un corso per l'uso sicuro delle armi da fuoco quando l'uomo ha accidentalmente tirato un colpo della sua calibro 45 e il proiettile dopo avergli trapassato la mano è andato a conficcarsi in una gamba della donna. Il 52-enne Steven Egan era in una tenda in Florida a caccia di cinghiali quando ha creduto di vederne uno e ha sparato col suo calibro 30. A firearms safety course went awry in Bedford County Saturday when a man shot himself in the hand with a .45-caliber handgun and the bullet passed through his hand and struck his wife, seated nearby, in the leg. Shot were Michael L. Deel, 54, and Michelle K. Deel, 49, both of Roanoke. Emergency dispatchers in Bedford County received a call at 12:25 p.m. reporting a shooting on Chapel Woods Drive. The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office said county rescue units and deputies responded. The Deels were attending a firearms safety class being taught and hosted by Thomas F. Starke, 57, according to the department [...] The sheriff’s office said Starke told deputies that he had left the room, heard a shot and returned to find the Deels had been shot. Man Accidentally Shoots Girlfriend While Hog-Hunting. Officials in North Florida say a 52-year-old woman is hospitalized after her boyfriend shot her in the legs during a hog-hunting trip. Flagler County Sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Steven Egan was inside a tent Saturday night when saw a hog and shot at it [...] Egan told authorities he thought he hit the hog and left the tent to search for it. He said he heard a noise continue in the brushes, thought it was the hog and fired again in that direction [...] Deputies said Egan's girlfriend Lisa Simmons was struck with a .30-caliber bullet in both legs and was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in serious condition...
