Man calls 911 to request prostitute
A Lexington man has been charged with abuse of the Davidson County 911 emergency system. Lonnie Michael Felts, 42, of 270 Broad St., was charged by officers with the Lexington Police Department. He was given a $2,000 secured bond and has an April 20 court date. Misuse of the 911 system is a misdemeanor. According to an arrest report filed by police, Felts called 911 three times on Sunday. The report states that the first time he called, Felts requested “a hooker and an escort to get boots”. After a police officer visited and warned Felts about misuse of the 911 system, he is accused of placing two more calls to the emergency system. On his second call, Felts asked for the phone number to the county jail. He was again warned not to use 911 for non-emergency calls. According to the arrest report, on the third call, “Felts called on 911 again for a non-emergency domestic escort.” The report indicates Felts had been using drugs and/or alcohol... The Dispatch
